Tallent Engineering's 50th anniversary celebrations

When the Prime Minister came to County Durham to help Tallent Engineering celebrate 50 years of business and to inaugurate a £30 million investment, it went like clockwork. This was the result of intensive organisation and co-ordination which ensured everything was in the right place at the right time - as many newspapers reported that day and the following.

From the canapés to the Komatsu Theatre Show, from the two robots which flanked Tony Blair to the well rehearsed factory tours, from the marquee to the master of ceremonies, from the heraldic dolphin ice carving to the intelligent lighting, "Tallent Engineering" was the theme throughout: "A celebration - without being silly!" Bergmans client, Bernard Robinson, managing director of Tallent Engineering crystallised Tallent's philosophy in very simple terms:

It was these values which Bergmans instilled in all elements of the event.

Around 200 guests flew into County Durham for the celebrations. They included customers, personnel from Thyssen Budd, Tallent's parent company and members of the media. They came from all over the world and stayed in local hotels.

Bergmans helped organise every aspect of the day and co-ordinated the production of all publicity materials. This did not stop once the party was over - "The History of Tallent" book and two separate videos were part of the package Bergmans provided. And to make sure that the workforce had a "thank you" for all their efforts, many of the elements of the big day were used at the weekend for a "family funday."
